A massive 54,000 women each year, mothers, are denied flexible working. Difficult to believe in this day and age when we are all about the 'modern world' and modern technology that makes us work 'smarter'. However, this is the reality. Thankfully women like Juliet Turnbull founder of the recruitment company 2to3 days is challenging the stigma of flexible working for mothers. Her company is all about championing flexible employment to encourage experienced mothers back into the work place. And I cannot sing her praises LOUD enough!
Juliet came to visit us in Twickenham at the great location that is the Turks Head, the room was filled with mothers who are at different stages in their maternity leave but are all ultimately nearing a point of returning to work in whatever shape of form that may be. With the aim of course to support their family home life in order create that work/life balance. The aim of the workshop was to give an overview on the best possible way to approach your career whether that's with your current employer or are planning on trying something new. Juliet has a wealth of experience and I'm sure left all mums attending full of confidence for their next steps in their career.
Well done to the team at SpoonFed Talks for another truly inspiring and helpful event for us mums!
