I must look like a weirdo sitting here gooey eyed with a grin even a Cheshire cat would be envious of. These two, thick as thieves. I can see it now, plotting together - plenty of practical jokes for Mumma in the future. Lots more fake spiders in the bathroom hidden underneath the shower gel and fake spiders hidden underneath my pillow 😨 These two, they’re trouble in the making. As they happily play away mini man on his favourite, the swing, Daddy pulling goofey faces, I grab my camera just in time to capture this shot. ‘We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone’. I ponder on that for awhile. It’s true motherhood can sometimes seem like it’s passing by WAY too quickly! Am I alone in thinking this way? So I take photos to help me remember moments and the love and connection within our mini family.
That’s why I love my job, being a photographer I’m able to gift so many family’s with memories of their own. Who doesn’t love trawling through old photos! The way I see it when we are gone from this earth we leave behind a legacy but what about the memories for our children and our children’s children. By which time our mini man will have a million and one (and then some) photos to trawl through, which he may or may not be pleased about but I’m hoping the later 🙏🏼 I hope these photos bring him years worth of memorable moments and plenty of smiles.
